Fasting, Taraweeh, Zakat, Quran, and Itekaf,

Itekaf ( The Stay in Mosque ) and Lialatul Qader (The Night of Power)

The Search Begins on 20th Night for Al Qader Night of Power, by Muslims of the World The devotee Muslims Will Take off from the Worldly Deeds and take an appointment with creatior of Universes Allah and peerform Itekaf and focus on search of Night of Power Al Qader

Both Itekaf and the Lailatul Qader are complementing one another in service to the iklas and purity of thoughts and beleive that as promissed by ‘Allah in the Quran al Hakeem in Surah Al Qader about falling of a Night which is better than a thousand nights in which the Quran ws reveled.

And the sayings of Propet Mohammed sas that is night Lialatul Qader in either, in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, or in the last Ten Nights of Ramdan, or could be on the 27th Night of the Ramadan, only Allah kows best, but the good reward and blessing is we have been told by our beloved Prophet Mohammed sas and indicated by Quran that it is in the last ten days of Ramadan.

It is expected of us that we search for this night in the last ten days of Ramadan, and what best way to do that than practice the Itekaf ( spritual Retreat with Allah ) and isolate ones self from the activities of the world and desire to be in the commany of Allah in Zikar, Salat, Tilawat, and Tahjud, Asking for Forgiveness of past sins and requiste a sin free remains of the life, and Rewards in this life and hearafter.

The last ten days of Ramadan are very special days in the life of every Muslim.

According to Islmic teachings, the last ten days, are the most blessed days of the blessed month of Ramadan, In these ten days and nights there is a night in which the Holy Quran was revealed, this night is called the Night of Power, Lailatul Qader.
The Qur’an Majeed describes this Night.
Allah sa
ys in the Qur’an in Surah Al-Qadr, 97: 1-5:And what do you know what the Night of Glory is?
The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months.(2)
The angels and the Spirit ( 3 )
descend in it with every decree, by the permission of their Lord (4)

The word (al-ruh: the Spirit), as is evident from the context is used for Gabriel or Jibraeel(AS). His name is specially mentioned here because he occupies a very high rank among the angels.Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah) said concerning Allah’s saying:

a Sight filled with Noor Masjid Al Haram Makkah on Night of Ramadan,

a Sight filled with Noor Masjid Al Haram Makkah on Night of Ramadan,

We have sent down this (Qur’an) in the Night of Glory. ( 1 )

“Therein descend the angels and the Rooh”: “This means that the descending of the angels increases during this night due to the vast amount of its blessings. And the angels descend along with the descent of blessing and mercy, just as they descend during the time when the Qur’aan is recited and encompass the gatherings in which Allah is remembered and spread their wings for the true seeker of knowledge, out of respect for him.”

That Night is peace, until the rising of the dawn. ( 5 )

The word (salam) signifies safety and protection from every sort of risk and danger in general and from any satanic interference in particular. Just as during the time of revelation of the Quran all passages into the world beyond space and time were sealed to block the penetrations of Satan and his army.

There is a consensus among the Muslims that the revelation of the Quran began in this night, and that this night occurred during the month of Ramadan, as mentioned in the following verses of Surah Baqarah: (the Cow):2: 185,

“Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur’an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong).”(2:185)

To be, Near to Allah to Feel the Power of Prayers and Virtues.
The Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.), used to exert and allowing himself even more in worship and rememberance of Allah swt, during these last ten days, hoping to draw futher close to Allah. Mohamed sas (Blessing for the whole mankind.)

Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allah’s Apostle used to practise Itikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan.

The Prophet’s wife Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)
“With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt and used to pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers.” (Bukhari) Volume 3, Book 33, Number 242:

For a Muslim, the last ten days should be a time to perfect one’s Fast and avoid anything that may break it. It is a time to give more Charity and to settle Disputes and Forgive one another.

It is also a time for Soul Searching, Evaluating one’s Life, and Inrospection, Supplicating the praises of Allah, Recitaition of Quran trying to understand and praying to implement it in day to day life and raise the spritual bar of one’s self, and Pleading forgiveness for sins, and shortcomings in the bar set by Quran and Sunnah to gudie our lifes to a better tomarrow and repent on the shortcomings of the past in life. .

This should be done sincerely with immence sence of submission, iklas, with true intentions only and only to please Allah and repent by performing Salatut Tauba, and ask for power to keep one;s self pure with obiediance and faith both in actions and intentions.

Because if Allah accepts the supplications, the reward is the remission of one’s sins, and what best reward one can expect than the hearing of prayers and their acceptance too.

The life of this world is full of attratctions, destractions, amuzements, with evil powers supported by our innerself, it is this innerself which needs to be purified and trianed in this month of Ramadan.

Importantly in the prayers of nignt Tahajud, Zikar, Tilawat, Salat Nafil, Repentance of the Past Sins, Speaking to Allah in Quiets of the Mosques during the nights of Itekaf ( the Fard e Kifaya ) and desire to please Allah and Allah alone.

Remembering the sacrifices and pains Allah’s Prophet Mohammed sas took all his life for us to be guided to the path Allah wants us to be.and allow it to be tamed to keep the track of life on the and The best time to do it is in the last part of the night.

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said,

“When the last one third of the night remains, our Lord, the Glorious One, descends towards the lower heaven and proclaims: ‘Is there anyone supplicating to Me so that I grant his supplication? Is there anyone begging of Me for anything so that I grant him his wish? Is there anyone who seeks My forgiveness so I forgive him?'” (Bukhari and Muslim)
One should leave behind the cares of this world, and even eat and sleep in the mosque. Those who cannot perform Itekaf for ten days, should try to do it for a shorter time, if only for one night or a day or two.

The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said, “Any Muslim who stands in Prayer during Laylat Al-Qadr out of faith and sincerity, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Please Recite Doorud E Sheirf May Allah’s Peace and Blessings be on Prophet Mohammed sas, Oh Allah bless us with you rewards and forgive our sins, and accept humble ibadats, and make it possible for us to practise the sunnah Itekaf and search for the Night Al Qader in this Ramadan. Amin
