Unending queues to recieive relief in form of grains, food, blankets, stoves, and water on 11th of Oct 2009 near Kurnool of River Bank, the whoe village was submered in floods week back. Condtions Pathatic, Fear of Epedimic evedent. wher is the health dept.

Our Electronic Media, comfortably skipping to report, day to day issues and suffering and relief, related to the millions of flood victims in the recent floods in Andhra and Karnataka.
Is it due to restictions or they are have other things more important to report. ?
I am surprised the Media which showed great reporting skills while reporting the fury of nature, and the helpless people’s stories when the floods where in live action.
Reporting with news of  areas getting flooded and threats to the life’s of the people, and loss of property.
Cameras panning on the Star visitor Politicians and Cine Stars to the region on small screen.
Elaborate analysis and statistics on floods in the past.
They reported records and flaws of the govt machinery.
What has put the media to silence.
The areas where Media has failed to report are.
a) There pathetic conditions the people living in the flooded areas, where water has receded.
b) The grave flaws in effective distribution of relief.  By the govt and the people. Due to lack of data on needs and requirement of the each village and mandal.
c) Govt,  to Provide the guidance to the relief worker and organization doing there moral duty towards fellow Indians.
The role f Media failed to Play.
a) Provide village by village information of the population, no. of houses, no of live stock, Life lost, live stock lost, average need for each family and list of things the family requires, and fodder needed, for surviving live stock.Damage to the property, and Agricultural fields.
b) Report and open live hot lines and give daily bulletin on the amount of relief already covered, in each village and remaining to be done. The relief workers should be guided and supported by toll free numbers and advised which area and village the relief is needed and which one is getting normalized.
c) The ex – gratia, and  relief money distribution by the govt , The list of   distribution to be maide  in the village por  families. The authorities are asking them to produce the Id cards and proofs of residence.
The fact is  most of them lost the Id cards in floods which washed all what they had.
We should know the person asking is an Indian and is a Victims and it is states responsibility to provide relief.
This issue of Id should be pressed on the authorities
d) The media can expose the malpractice, and the discrimination that could creep in to the relief works, due various flaws and concerns.
e) There are therats of  thefts, and organized syphooning of relief materials in wrong hands.
f} Helath services and fear of spread of epidemics is mounting.  victims mob relief workers near kurnool in a village which was fully submerged a week back in andhra floods.
